Skill Set: The ideal candidate would posses experience in the following skills/qualities:

  • Expert in troubleshooting and repair from hardware components, to network, to operating system, to applications software.
  • Extensive Windows NT/2000/XP, Linux, Sun administration experience.
  • Network architecture design and implementation expertise.
  • Network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Extensive knowledge of Cisco IOS, TCP, UDP, ICMP, IP, Fiber Channel, IPSec, T1, T3, Frame-Relay, SCSI, RAID, DNS, SMTP, SNMP, NIS+/NIS, LDAP, etc.
  • In-depth understanding of network security, intrusion detection, and intrusion prevention including hands-on work with firewalls, authentication and authorization technology, security packages.
